Theatrical Distribution

Paramount Pictures is a leader in the distribution of films. 

International Distribution
 

International Distribution oversees the theatrical release of all Paramount film titles, as well as various acquisitions and local international productions, in every market worldwide outside of the U.S. and Canada. The International Distribution team releases films across 73 territories that are serviced by nine Paramount offices and 15 United International Pictures offices jointly owned by Paramount Pictures and Universal Studios, with the remainder reached through strategic distribution partnerships.

Domestic Distribution
 

Domestic Distribution is comprised of five departments responsible for successfully releasing a movie in the theatres.
 

• Film Analysis provides the data, analysis, and models to strategically select a release date for each film. The Film Analysis team supports all departments within the domestic distribution group and beyond in delivering daily and weekly marketplace statistics, release date and industry analysis and forecasting, as well as synthesizes and communicates this information to executives. 
• Domestic Sales negotiates revenue-sharing agreements with exhibition partners for licensing of all films in the U.S. & Canada. 
• In-Theatre Marketing works closely with exhibitors and the studio’s marketing and advertising teams to develop effective campaign strategies to ensure the success of Paramount films, from placement of on-screen trailers and content, to digital and print materials, and to theatre promotions that drive ticket sales. 
• Theatrical Distribution Services leads localization, from scripting to dubbing and subtitling, and manages all areas of content mastering, including recording and mixing schedules for all trailers and theatrical releases for Paramount Pictures globally. 
• Worldwide Operations oversees the delivery of digital cinema feature packages to theatres worldwide in addition to delivery of content and security for pre-release screenings and censor board screenings.
