Through a new multi-year partnership with T-Mobile Arena, the venue’s two-acre outdoor entertainment space has been renamed Paramount+ Plaza, creating a year-round destination where fans can connect with Paramount+ programming through live events, immersive activations and experiences tied to some of the biggest moments in sports and entertainment.
Located just outside T-Mobile Arena, the open-air plaza serves as a gathering place for fans before, during and after events at one of Las Vegas’ premier entertainment destinations. Since the arena opened in 2016, the space has hosted celebrations ranging from the Vegas Golden Knights’ Stanley Cup victory parade and Las Vegas Aces’ WNBA championship rallies to the official Bruno Mars Day celebration.
“Paramount+ is home to some of the most compelling stories, franchises and live sports in entertainment, and this partnership gives us an exciting new way to bring that content beyond the screen and directly to fans,” said Domenic DiMeglio, Chief Marketing Officer & Data Officer for Paramount+. “Paramount+ Plaza will give us a dynamic, year-round presence in the heart of Las Vegas where we can create memorable experiences around our programming and connect with audiences as they come together for some of the biggest moments in sports and entertainment.”
With T-Mobile Arena welcoming more than one million visitors across more than 100 events each year, Paramount+ Plaza gives the streaming service a highly visible, year-round presence at one of Las Vegas’ busiest entertainment destinations.
“Paramount+ sits at the intersection of premium entertainment, live sports and culture, making this partnership an incredibly natural fit for T-Mobile Arena and Las Vegas,” said Sally Bae, Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships for AEG in Las Vegas.
Paramount+ Plaza Debuts with the First Zuffa Boxing Super Fight
Paramount+ Plaza will make its debut during Zuffa Boxing’s Garcia vs. Benn fight week, ahead of the September 12 bout at T-Mobile Arena. On Friday, September 11, the plaza will host the fight’s ceremonial weigh-in, open to the public. Throughout fight week, fans can also visit the Cube, a new Paramount+ customer lounge featuring an immersive activation inspired by the Paramount+ series MobLand.
Then on September 12, the plaza will become a destination for an afternoon of live combat sports. Its large screens will showcase Noche UFC, streaming live on Paramount+ from Glendale, Arizona, before doors open at T-Mobile Arena for Garcia vs. Benn. The fight will also stream live on Paramount+ globally, excluding the U.K. and Ireland, at no additional cost to subscribers.
The debut brings together several pieces of Paramount+’s expanding live sports presence. Paramount+ serves as the UFC’s exclusive streaming partner in the U.S., while T-Mobile Arena has become the UFC’s home in Las Vegas, giving the new partnership a natural connection to one of the sport’s biggest destinations.
