Our Supplier Diversity program is focused on increasing and strengthening partnerships with diverse suppliers, which include minority, women, LGBT, veteran, and disability-owned businesses that are considered to compete for contract opportunities within our supply chain. Approximately 1,300 of our vendors are diverse, self-classified, or third-party certified.

We support our Supplier Diversity Initiatives with outreach programs that include showcases, conferences, and development projects that allow us to continually identify new diverse suppliers and increase visibility of our commitment in those communities.     Mission: The National Minority Supplier Development Council advances business opportunities for certified minority business enterprises and connects them to corporate members.

     

    To achieve our mission, we will:

    1. work through the NMSDC Network to support and facilitate MBE integration into corporate and public-sector supply chains;
    2. build MBE capacity and capabilities through our programs and other education offerings; and
    3. facilitate MBE-to-MBE partnerships to meet the needs of our corporate members.

    SCMSDC drives opportunities and collaboration between corporations and minority businesses by:

  • Engagement with leading advocacy organizations, including the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) and Disability:IN to strengthen our efforts
  • Expanding our influence and Supplier Diversity impact with a Tier 2 program that will ensure our non-diverse supplier partners (Primes) share our diversity goals, thus magnifying our impact by reaching deeper into our supply chain
