Volunteerism
Giving back is intrinsic to Paramount's culture. Employee volunteers have served communities around the world.
The Paramount Volunteer Crew is a dedicated group of more than 150 employee volunteers who meet monthly to plan projects and hear from local non-profits. The group organizes and participates in a wide variety of service opportunities throughout the year including serving meals to families at the Ronald McDonald House, working on therapeutic arts and crafts projects with at-risk teens, and assembling care packages for US troops serving overseas. The volunteer crew has an average of three projects every month! One of the group's signature projects is the annual gift drive, where employees "adopt" deserving children and families and purchase items from their Holiday wish lists.
Viacommunity Day, named after Paramount’s parent company Viacom, is a world-wide celebration of service that deploys thousands of employees each year to volunteer in communities where the company has operations. More than 1,400 Paramount employees work at project sites around the world on a wide range of activities including beautifying public schools, mentoring students, cooking and packaging food for those in need, cleaning beaches and rivers, adopting pets and much more.
