Michael Corcoran
Michael Corcoran was named President, Consumer Products & Recreation Group, Paramount Pictures in February 2008. In this role, Corcoran is responsible for worldwide licensing, consumer products and themed entertainment activities, including overseeing licensing and merchandising programs to extend the Paramount brand and its properties across a variety of categories such as theme parks, toys, apparel, themed restaurants, and book publishing.
Before Paramount, Corcoran served in several senior finance, operations, and marketing positions at NBC Universal, where he played a major role in enhancing and internationally expanding their parks and resorts operations. During his tenure as Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Universal Parks and Resorts, Corcoran was integral in managing the expansion from two US-based theme parks into a global entertainment resort brand including Spain, Japan and China.
As Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Universal Orlando, Corcoran directed the financial aspect of Universal Orlando's transition from a single theme park to an expanded multi-billion dollar entertainment destination featuring multiple theme parks, hotels and retail operations.
Prior to Universal, Corcoran held variety of executive positions at Joseph E Seagram & Sons including VP Human Resources. During his 15-year tenure there, he also served as Vice President, Financial Planning and Business Development and Vice President of Marketing, Juice Brands at Tropicana Products Inc. As Vice President of Marketing, Juice Brands, Corcoran oversaw brand extension initiatives, product research and development, marketing, sales and finance.
