Brad Grey
Brad Grey is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Paramount Pictures Corporation. In this position, Mr. Grey is responsible for all feature film development and production for the Paramount Motion Picture Group which includes Paramount Pictures, Paramount Vantage, Paramount Classics, Paramount Animation, Insurge Pictures, MTV Films and Nickelodeon Movies. He is also responsible for the worldwide business operations for Paramount Pictures International, Paramount Home Entertainment, Paramount Digital Entertainment, Paramount Famous Productions, Paramount Licensing Inc., Paramount Studio Group and Worldwide Television Distribution.
Mr. Grey’s motion picture credits as a producer include the Academy Award® winning film for Best Picture, “The Departed,” directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Matt Damon, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jack Nicholson, and Mark Wahlberg and “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” starring Johnny Depp under the direction of Tim Burton.
In addition, Mr. Grey has produced some of the most celebrated programs on television, including HBO’s Emmy award-winning series “The Sopranos,” “Real Time with Bill Maher,” and “The Larry Sanders Show.” He is a multiple Golden Globe, BAFTA, PGA and Emmy Award winner, as well as a four-time recipient of the George Foster Peabody Award.
Prior to leading Paramount Pictures, Mr. Grey built his former company, Brillstein-Grey Entertainment, into one of the industry’s elite organizations, regarded by Forbes as “Hollywood’s most successful management and production firm.”
Under his tenure at Paramount, the studio has produced and/or distributed commercial and critical hit films including its highest global grossing film in history “Transformers III,” franchises such as “Paranormal Activity” and “Iron Man” and films such as “Star Trek,” “True Grit,” “SUPER 8,” “Rango,” “Kung Fu Panda I & II,” “Mission Impossible III & IV,” “An Inconvenient Truth,” “There Will Be Blood,” “No Country for Old Men,” “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” “Babel,” “Shutter Island,” and “Up in the Air.”
Mr. Grey serves on UCLA’s Executive Board for the Medical Sciences, the USC School of Cinema-Television Board of Councilors, and the Board of Directors for Project A.L.S. and NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
