HIV/AIDS

We are committed to showing care and compassion for those living with HIV/AIDS until researchers find a cure.

 

 

Paramount Pictures has served as a Grand Sponsor of AIDS Walk Los
Angeles since its inception in 1985, providing in kind donations and
logistical expertise.  During this time, hundreds of employees have
joined Team Paramount to raise tens of thousands of dollars for AIDS
Project Los Angeles, the main beneficiary organization, as well as
walking the six mile course to raise awareness & show their support
for those affected by the disease.

 

The Paramount Angels are a dedicated group of volunteers who lend their time and creativity to Project Angel Food, a nearby non-profit organization that provides meals to nourish the body and spirit of Los Angeles area residents living with HIV/AIDS and other life threatening illness.  The Paramount Angels have delivered food, decorated meal bags, packaged and prepared holiday treats for the organization's 2,200 clients in Los Angeles County through a series of regular volunteer projects.

AIDS Walk 2012

Paramount Pictures has a long history of supporting AIDS Walk Los Angeles. The studio was home to the very first AIDS Walk in 1985 and has been a proud sponsor every since. Each year, employees join to form a team for the event and the 2012 team was the largest yet with 140+ members raising more than $15,000.

This annual event raises funds to help continue the life-saving work of AIDS Project Los Angeles and many other worthy HIV/AIDS organizations.

World AIDS Day – Facing AIDS

World AIDS Day is held annually on December 1st and is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, to show their support for people living with HIV and to commemorate those who have died. For the 2012 event, the US Department of Health & Human Services encouraged people to start "Facing AIDS" and to show their support by submitting photos with signs stating why and how they are facing AIDS.
